First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tests a procedure called left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO) in 40 dialysis patients with atrial fibrillation to prevent strokes. The goal is to see if it is safe and effective, allowing patients to avoid long-term blood thinners that raise bleeding risks. Participants will be followed for one year to check for strokes, bleeding, and device success.
