New walking test could better predict fall risk in seniors

NCT ID NCT07277751

Summary

This study is testing a new physical assessment called the 'L Test' to see if it is a reliable and useful tool for measuring mobility in healthy older adults. Researchers will have 70 participants aged 65 and over perform the L Test, which involves standing, walking, and turning, and compare the results to two standard mobility tests. The goal is to see if this more complex test gives a better picture of real-world movement and fall risk.
