Can a simple supplement help fragile preemies breathe and grow?
NCT ID NCT07437391
Summary
This study is testing whether giving L-Carnitine, a natural substance, helps premature babies with severe breathing problems (RDS). Researchers want to see if it helps these fragile newborns gain weight and survive until they can go home. They are enrolling 160 preterm babies to compare outcomes between those who receive the supplement and those who don't.
