New injection targets hidden heart risk factor

Summary
This study is testing whether an experimental injection called Kylo-11 can safely lower high levels of lipoprotein(a), a fatty particle in the blood linked to heart disease. About 204 adults with existing heart disease and elevated lipoprotein(a) will receive either Kylo-11 or a placebo shot for up to a year. Researchers will measure how much the drug reduces lipoprotein(a) levels and monitor for side effects.
