New hope for Tough-to-Treat leukemia: first patients test novel drug

Summary

This is the first time a new drug called ziftomenib is being tested in people. The study aims to find a safe and effective dose for adults with advanced acute myeloid leukemia (AML) or acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) that has returned or not responded to other treatments. It will also check how the drug works when taken with other common medications.
