New hope for Hard-to-Treat leukemia: first human trial of ziftomenib launches

Summary
This early-stage trial tests a new drug called ziftomenib (KO-539) in people whose acute myeloid leukemia (AML) has returned or not responded to standard treatments. The study aims to find the safest and most effective dose, and to see if the drug can shrink or control the cancer. About 263 participants will be enrolled across multiple sub-studies, including those with specific genetic changes.
