Scientists map how knee pain changes Athletes' cutting moves
NCT ID NCT07463560
Summary
This study aimed to understand how patellar tendon pain (jumper's knee) affects movement during side-cutting maneuvers common in sports like basketball and soccer. Researchers compared leg mechanics in 30 athletes with knee tendon pain against 30 healthy athletes while they performed side-cutting tasks. The goal was to identify movement differences that might contribute to or result from this common sports injury.
