Knee scope recovery boost? gel injections show promise for faster healing
NCT ID NCT07476508
Summary
This study tested whether adding hyaluronic acid injections or a daily supplement to standard physical therapy helps people recover better after knee surgery for a torn meniscus. About 290 adults who had this common 'knee scope' procedure were randomly assigned to receive either standard rehab, rehab plus a supplement pill, or rehab plus two gel-like injections into the knee. The main goal was to see which group had better knee function, less pain, and improved quality of life 12 weeks after surgery.
