Seeing is believing: photos of knee damage shown to patients may speed recovery

NCT ID NCT07364812

Summary

This study tested if showing patients photos of their damaged knee cartilage and their new joint's range of motion right after knee replacement surgery could help them recover faster. Researchers compared 80 patients who chose to see the photos to those who did not. They measured pain, knee function, mobility, and quality of life at 6 weeks to see if the visual information made a difference.
