Uneven leg strength linked to walking problems in women with knee arthritis

NCT ID NCT07261540

Summary

This study looked at how differences in strength between the left and right leg affect balance, walking, and daily activities in older women with knee osteoarthritis. Researchers measured muscle strength, balance, walking speed, and pain in 20 women aged 50+ with arthritis in both knees. The goal was to understand how muscle imbalances contribute to mobility problems, not to test a treatment.
