Drugs in wash fluid aim to ease Post-Surgery misery

NCT ID NCT07064993

Summary

This study is testing if adding two common medications (tramadol for pain and dexamethasone for nausea) to the fluid used to wash the knee during a minor 'scope' surgery can help patients feel better afterward. Researchers will compare 80 patients who get the medicated wash to those who get a standard wash, checking for pain, nausea, vomiting, itching, and chills in the hours after surgery. The goal is to find a simple way to improve recovery comfort from this common procedure.
