Cooling race: new device challenges old ice packs for knee surgery recovery

NCT ID NCT07366736

Summary

This study is testing if a new device that combines cold therapy with gentle pressure (cryocompression) works better than regular ice packs to reduce pain and swelling after knee replacement surgery. Researchers will enroll 138 adults getting a first-time knee replacement to compare the two methods. The main goal is to see if there's a difference in pain levels two days after surgery.
