Summary

This study looked at why the thigh muscle (quadriceps) becomes weak after total knee replacement surgery and how that affects getting back to normal activities. Twenty patients aged 50-75 were followed for 6 weeks after surgery. Researchers measured muscle strength, pain, swelling, and function using walking tests and questionnaires. The goal is to help plan better rehab after knee replacement.
