Simple timing change could reduce swelling after knee surgery

NCT ID NCT07302724

Summary

This study looked at whether the timing of removing a surgical drain affects swelling after a total knee replacement. Researchers compared removing the drain before starting gentle machine-assisted knee movement versus removing it after. The goal was to see if one method better reduces leftover fluid and blood buildup to improve recovery.
