Could a blood flow cuff ease your chronic knee pain?

NCT ID NCT05617911

Summary

This study aimed to see if a therapy called blood flow restriction (BFR) could help people with chronic kneecap pain (patellofemoral pain syndrome). It compared BFR, which uses a cuff to limit blood flow during light exercise, against a sham (fake) cuff treatment. The goal was to see which approach better reduced pain and improved knee function and strength over time. The study was terminated early after enrolling only one participant.
