New approach targets hidden nerve to ease common knee pain

NCT ID NCT07318987

Summary

This study is testing if a hands-on therapy that targets a specific nerve in the knee can help reduce pain and improve balance and function in young, active adults with chronic kneecap pain. Researchers believe irritation of this nerve might be an overlooked cause of the pain. The study will compare this nerve-focused therapy to standard exercises to see which works better.
