First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated Apr 23, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tests whether a numbing and anti-inflammatory injection around knee nerves can reduce pain and improve walking in people with knee arthritis. About 30 adults aged 50 and older with persistent knee pain will receive either the active injection or a placebo (salt water). Both groups will also follow an exercise program. Researchers will measure pain, walking ability, and knee movement before treatment, one hour after, and one month later.
