Scientists shine light on mysterious knee pain
NCT ID NCT07139158
Summary
This study aimed to understand why knee pain around the kneecap often becomes chronic despite treatment. Researchers measured oxygen levels in thigh muscles of 41 adults with long-term knee pain during different exercises, comparing them to pain-free individuals. The goal was to see if poor oxygen use in muscles contributes to ongoing pain and disability.
