Numbing the nerves: can a simple injection ease crippling knee pain?

NCT ID NCT07174167

Summary

This study tested if a 'genicular nerve block' injection could reduce pain and improve movement for people with chronic knee osteoarthritis. Researchers compared three groups: one got a standard painkiller mix, one got just a numbing agent, and one got a placebo (saltwater) shot. They measured participants' pain levels and walking ability to see which approach worked best.
