New cartilage repair shot aims to beat common knee treatment
NCT ID NCT07453953
Summary
This early study is testing a new injection called Mytocel MSK, made from a patient's own ear cartilage, against a standard PRP injection for knee osteoarthritis. Researchers want to see if the new treatment provides longer-lasting pain relief and better cartilage repair with just one shot. About 30 adults with mild to moderate knee arthritis will receive one of the injections and be followed for a year using pain questionnaires and MRI scans.
