New knee injection tested to ease arthritis pain

NCT ID NCT06989645

Summary

This early-stage study tested a single injection called SYN321, given directly into the knee joint, for people with painful knee osteoarthritis. The main goal was to check the safety of three different doses and see if the injection could reduce pain and improve knee function. Thirty-five participants were followed for 56 days after receiving either the experimental injection or a placebo.
