New injection combo tested for lasting knee arthritis relief
NCT ID NCT07269444
Summary
This study looked at whether adding a specific nerve block (IPACK block) to a standard steroid knee injection provides better and longer-lasting pain relief for people with advanced knee osteoarthritis. Researchers compared pain and function scores in 98 patients who received either the steroid injection alone or the steroid plus the nerve block. The goal was to see if this combined approach could be a better option for managing chronic knee pain before considering surgery.
