First seen May 07, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a program of online cognitive behavioral therapy (a type of talk therapy) combined with physical exercise can reduce pain and improve daily function for people with knee osteoarthritis who are waiting for knee replacement surgery. About 282 adults scheduled for knee replacement will be split into three groups: one gets the therapy and exercise program instead of surgery, one gets surgery plus the program, and one gets surgery with standard physical therapy. The main goal is to see if the program helps with knee pain and function.
