Ultrasound checks if knee ligament bounces back after surgery trick
NCT ID NCT06863077
First seen Mar 19, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study looks at 30 adults having knee surgery for a torn meniscus. Surgeons often release a nearby ligament (the MCL) to get better access. The study uses a special ultrasound to measure the ligament's tension before surgery and again at 3 weeks, 6 weeks, and 3 months after. The goal is to see if the ligament fully recovers its normal tightness, addressing concerns about long-term knee stability.
