Mind over matter: can changing focus save Athletes' knees?

NCT ID NCT07367308

Summary

This study aims to prevent knee injuries in young female athletes by testing different mental focus strategies during landing. Researchers will compare instructions that direct attention outside the body versus a combination of internal and external focus to see which better improves safe landing mechanics and muscle activation. The goal is to find the most effective training method to reduce the high risk of non-contact knee injuries in this population.
