Stem cell shot tested to heal Worn-Out knees

NCT ID NCT01733186

Summary

This early-stage study tested a single-injection cell therapy called CARTISTEM for people with severe knee cartilage damage. The goal was to see if it was safe and could help regrow cartilage to reduce pain and improve knee function. It involved 12 adults with specific, full-thickness cartilage defects, measuring their pain and mobility over two years.
