First seen Feb 14, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study tested three different doses of a short-acting spinal anesthetic (prilocaine) in 150 adults having knee arthroscopy. The goal was to see which dose allowed patients to urinate and recover movement the fastest, so they could go home sooner. The study found that lower doses may speed up recovery, helping day-surgery patients get back on their feet more quickly.
