Summary

This study compared two types of hyaluronic acid injections used to treat knee osteoarthritis pain in active adults. Researchers looked at whether a single dose of a newer, cross-linked formula worked as well or better than two doses of a standard formula over six months. The study involved 88 recreational athletes aged 50-70 who had not found enough relief from pain medications.
