Breakthrough treatment could prevent dangerous bleeds in Tough-to-Treat hemophilia

NCT ID NCT06312475

Summary

This study is testing whether a new injection called KN057 can safely prevent bleeding episodes in people with hemophilia A or B who have developed inhibitors, which make standard treatments less effective. About 53 male participants aged 12-70 will be randomly assigned to receive either KN057 preventive injections for a year or start with standard on-demand treatment before switching to KN057. The main goal is to see if KN057 reduces the number of bleeding episodes that require treatment compared to not using preventive therapy.
