New drug offers hope for women suffering from uterine fibroid symptoms

Summary
This study tested a new drug, KLH-2109, in 89 premenopausal Japanese women with uterine fibroids who had heavy bleeding and pain. The drug was compared to a placebo to see if it could reduce bleeding and pain over 12 weeks. Results showed that KLH-2109 helped more women achieve near-normal bleeding and less pain than the placebo.
