New drug aims to curb heavy periods from fibroids

Summary

This study tests a new medication, KLH-2109, to see if it reduces heavy menstrual bleeding in people with uterine fibroids (non-cancerous growths in the uterus). About 254 participants will take either the new drug or a standard treatment pill. Researchers will track bleeding levels and safety through regular clinic visits and diaries.
