Natural hormone tested to jumpstart fertility

NCT ID NCT05896293

Summary

This study is testing whether a natural hormone called kisspeptin can stimulate the body's own reproductive hormones in men and women with a rare condition that prevents normal puberty and fertility (idiopathic hypogonadotropic hypogonadism or IHH). Researchers will give kisspeptin under the skin for two weeks using a small pump and closely monitor hormone levels and, for women, egg development. The goal is to see if this treatment can help the body's reproductive system work on its own.
