Hormone test offers hope for women with Infertility-Causing condition
NCT ID NCT05633966
Summary
This early-stage study tested whether a natural hormone called kisspeptin could help women with hypothalamic amenorrhea (a condition where periods stop due to brain signaling problems) release eggs from their ovaries. Thirteen women received kisspeptin injections under the skin for two weeks while doctors monitored their hormone levels and ovarian activity with blood tests and ultrasounds. The goal was to see if this treatment could stimulate normal reproductive function in these women.
