New movement therapy trial aims to help kids with cerebral palsy use their arms better

NCT ID NCT07244081

Summary

This study is testing whether adding a specific movement therapy called kinesiotherapy to standard physical therapy helps children with hemiplegic cerebral palsy use their affected arm better and perform daily tasks more easily. It will involve 28 children aged 8-13, who will be randomly assigned to receive either the new combination therapy or standard therapy alone for 8 weeks. Researchers will measure changes in arm function and how well children can manage everyday activities.
