Tape vs tool: which works better for sore muscles?

NCT ID NCT07438431

Summary

This study compared two common treatments for delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) - the pain and stiffness that comes 1-3 days after unusual exercise. Researchers tested 30 healthy, inactive young adults to see whether Kinesio taping or the Graston technique (a tool-based massage) worked better at improving muscle oxygen levels, functional strength, and reaction time during recovery. One group got taping, another got the Graston treatment, and a third group recovered naturally with no treatment.
