First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study compared two methods—kinesio taping and the Graston technique—for relieving delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS), the pain felt 24-72 hours after intense exercise. Twenty healthy adults were split into three groups: one received kinesio taping, another the Graston technique, and a third no treatment. Researchers measured muscle oxygen levels, strength, and reaction time before and after exercise to see which approach worked best.

What this could lead to
If successful, this could show which method is better for reducing muscle soreness and improving recovery after exercise.
