New hope for failing kidney transplants: experimental drug combo aims to save organs
NCT ID NCT07006532
Summary
This study is testing whether adding a drug called tocilizumab to the standard treatment can better protect kidney transplants from chronic rejection. It will involve 50 kidney transplant recipients whose bodies are slowly attacking their new organ. Researchers will compare the new combination against the current standard treatment to see which helps the transplanted kidney work better and last longer.
