Simple IV fluid switch could protect new kidneys

NCT ID NCT06030609

Summary

This study is testing which type of IV fluid is better for people right after a kidney transplant. Researchers want to see if one fluid helps keep the body's salt and acid levels more balanced, which might help the new kidney work better. About 60 transplant patients will get either Ringer's lactate or normal saline with sugar water for their first week after surgery.
