Major study uncovers hidden cancer dangers for transplant patients

NCT ID NCT02121730

Summary

This study looked back at 10 years of medical records from 2,500 kidney transplant patients to understand why some develop cancer after their transplant. Researchers examined how different anti-rejection medications and other factors might increase cancer risk. The goal is to identify patterns that could help doctors better prevent these complications in future transplant patients.
