Phone coaching boosts transplant med adherence

Summary

This study tests whether personalized education and regular phone counseling can help kidney transplant recipients take their anti-rejection medications as prescribed. Sixty adult kidney transplant patients will be split into two groups: one gets the extra support, the other gets standard care. Researchers will measure medication adherence using a questionnaire and blood levels of a key drug over 8 weeks.
