Looking back: does a newer kidney filter help kids survive the ICU?

NCT ID NCT06633029

Summary

This study looked back at medical records to see if a newer type of dialysis filter (called HF20) led to better results for children with sudden kidney failure compared to an older filter (M60). Researchers compared survival rates and time spent in the hospital for 59 children weighing between 8 and 20 kg (about 18-44 lbs). The goal was to understand if the newer equipment improved outcomes for these critically ill kids.
