New study tests gentler approach to breaking up kidney stones

NCT ID NCT07334236

Summary

This study compares two ways of using shock waves to break up kidney stones. Researchers want to see if gradually increasing the energy (ramping) works better than using the same energy throughout (fixed dose). They'll measure how many people become stone-free, how many treatments they need, and how much pain they experience.
