New study to determine best way to remove medium kidney stones

Summary

This study compares two modern, minimally invasive surgeries for removing kidney stones that are 2-3 cm in size. About 254 adults will be randomly assigned to receive either flexible ureteroscopy or mini-percutaneous nephrolithotomy. The goal is to see which method clears more stones with fewer complications and better recovery.
