New study tests less invasive surgery for large kidney stones
NCT ID NCT07322471
Summary
This study compares two surgical methods for removing large, branched kidney stones called staghorn stones. Researchers will randomly assign 138 adult patients to receive either the standard surgery (PCNL) or a newer, less invasive procedure (flexible ureteroscopy). The goal is to see which method is more effective at completely removing stones and which has fewer complications.
