New study tests less invasive surgery for large kidney stones

NCT ID NCT07322471

Summary

This study compares two surgical methods for removing large, branched kidney stones. Researchers want to see if a less invasive procedure using a flexible scope through the urinary tract is as effective and safe as the traditional surgery that requires a small back incision. The trial will involve 138 adults with these complex stones to determine which approach leads to better outcomes with fewer complications.
