Do CT scans help find kidney stones faster?

NCT ID NCT06805149

Summary

This study looked at how well emergency CT scans work for diagnosing kidney stones. Researchers followed 1500 patients who came to a Swedish emergency room with suspected kidney stone pain and got a CT scan within 24 hours. They checked how many patients actually had a stone, measured the stones' size and location, and tracked how long it took to get treatment.
