NCT ID NCT06168799

Summary

This study tested whether a drug called ilofotase alfa could prevent or reduce kidney damage in patients undergoing major open heart surgery. It involved 271 adults with pre-existing reduced kidney function who were at high risk for further injury. Patients received either the study drug or a placebo (inactive substance) just before and after their surgery to see if it helped protect their kidneys.
