New test could spot kidney trouble early in stroke victims

NCT ID NCT07181174

Summary

This study is testing whether a simple ultrasound measurement of blood flow in the kidneys can help doctors spot kidney injury early in patients who have had a hemorrhagic stroke (brain bleed). Researchers will follow 45 adult stroke patients at Aswan University Hospital to see if this measurement predicts who develops kidney problems. The goal is to find a faster way to detect kidney injury so doctors can intervene sooner and potentially improve patient recovery.
