Doctors investigate why some kidney infections turn deadly
NCT ID NCT06299215
Summary
This study looked back at medical records to understand what factors lead to poor outcomes in patients hospitalized with severe kidney infections. Researchers analyzed data from 575 patients who needed intensive care for acute obstructive pyelonephritis between 2015 and 2022. The goal was to identify which patients are most at risk for serious complications like kidney failure or death.
