First seen Feb 12, 2026 · Last updated Apr 21, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study compared two different methods for measuring kidney function in critically ill ICU patients whose kidneys work unusually fast. Researchers tested 90 ICU patients to see if a newer test using a special dye (iohexol) gives more accurate results than the standard creatinine test. The goal was to find the best way to monitor kidney health in seriously ill patients.
